About
For users who want to use or develop OpenVista CIS without running an instance of the OpenVista Server, Medsphere offers a Public Demo server. The Public Demo server currently runs OpenVista Server version 1.5 SP2 (on port 9201) and 1.5.86 (on port 9202).
Please note that the Public Demo server is refreshed nightly at 4AM Pacific Time. The refresh takes approximately 30 minutes; all changes made during the previous day are erased.
At this time, due to security concerns, we do not allow terminal access to the Public Demo server. If you wish to alter the Server code, you will need to install the OpenVista server locally or run the pre-installed OpenVista Appliance.
Requirements
To connect to the OpenVista Demo Server, you will need:
- To download and install OpenVista CIS
- CIS requires Mono (for Linux or other platforms) or .NET 1.1 (on Windows)
- The Gtk# library (most Linux distributions already include this library)
Please see the Requirements section of the OpenVista CIS Release Notes for more information.
