These topics will range from, but not be limited to, HIT education in the "electronic age", how best to educate a potential partner on the advantages of an EMR, how best to organize and deploy a training program for a new partner, and some free-lance discussions on the overall philosophy of IT education and how this compares to general educational ideas in the post modern age. The Medication Management Group provides focus for an interdisciplinary forum on issues related to the “closed loop” medication workflow. This is primarily an inpatient process that from an OpenVista perspective involves ordering (CPOE), dispensing, and administration (BCMA, BPOC) of medications. The intent is to provide for collaboration between physicians, pharmacy and nursing outside of their specialty silos with the common goal of safe and efficient drug therapy.
