Organizational Setting

Is Medsphere working on the ambulatory sector?  I see some hospital work, but wondered about how your efforts could improve ambulatory care.

Re: Organizational Setting

Hi Lonnie,

One of the greatest things about OpenVista is that it lends itself directly to patient care across the continuum from the ambulatory office/clinic to the acute care setting.

While many aspects of both ends of the contiuum are similiar from documentation, ordering, to looking up patient results, there are aspects that are different such as writing a perscription vs writing an order or working from a schedule vs working from a list of patients.  OpenVista can accomodate most everything in the ambulatory environment except for the practice management.  We generally partner with a 3rd party vendor to handle the practice management for the ambulatory environment.

While a lot of the discussion currently on our site here has been focused around acute care, there is more to come around ambulatory on our .ORG site soon.

Did you have a specific question around capabilities?

Regards

Kris
