DEA Numbers

I have a few of Questions:

1. How do you update DEA numbers in Open Vista?

2 How do you manually update/manage the drug formulary?

3. Has anyone used the IB component to bill Medicare D?

We had to release our Pharmacy contractor and they took their Pharmacy Management system with them. Our state is in very dire financial shape and can not afford to pay much, so any help that can be given is appreciated.

Re: DEA Numbers

I can answer the first for sure.  You can edit DEA numbers by either through Fileman and editing File 200, or you can go through User Management and user the Provider ID option there.  Here is a screenshot:

          Provider ID
          Reprint Access agreement letter
You have PENDING ALERTS
Enter  "VA to jump to VIEW ALERTS option
Select User Management Option: provider ID
Select NEW PERSON NAME: col
     1   COLEMAN,JEREMY M       JC          SYSTEM MANAGER
     2   COLLINS,MARY       MC          SYSTEM MANAGER
CHOOSE 1-2: 1  COLEMAN,JEREMY M     JC          SYSTEM MANAGER
AUTHORIZED TO WRITE MED ORDERS:
PHYSICIAN ID:
DEA#:

I know that you can also edit your formulary through Fileman, but just because you can does not mean you should.  I will leave that to a person with more pharmacy experience to confirm or deny that.
