Dependencies, file, now what?

Where is the step by step instruction on how to instal CIS on Ubuntu 9.04? Surely there is one

Running CIS on Linux is fairly straightforward:

  1. Download openvistacis-0.9.95-client.zip
  2. Unpack the zip file to a directory on your system.
  3. Make sure you have the Dependencies to run OpenVistaCIS on GNU/Linux distributions installed.
  4. cd into the directory you unpacked CIS into.
  5. Run "mono OpenVistaCIS.exe".

Hi Jonathan,

 

Nice login screen, I like girls. Thanks.

 

It asks for a Login ID and a password. While I am typing this the login screen disappears, but I repeated the command and now it is back. What do I have to do to get a Login ID and a password?

The login dialog will time out and close the application if you're not interacting with it - this is the same behavior as CPRS and is a security requirement. It shouldn't have timed out if you're typing in the application - were there any errors in the console?

 

If you're connecting to our public demo server, logins are listed on the page describing the OpenVista CIS Public Demo Server.

Hi Jonathan,

 

OK, I'm in it. I selected a patient, but she doesn't have much in the way of data.

 

The timeout was while I was typing the email to you asking for the login info. Might have been a few minutes.

Some of the patients have been in the database longer than others and have more data.  Note that our latest release (1.5 SP1) is based off of a different database and has little/no patient data in it.

 

If the timeout occurred when the app was idle, then it's behaving as expected.

I have install Ubuntu 9.04 server and then Vista as per di

rections from Jonathan on his video presentation. I ca

nnot install CIS on lunix machine inspite of checking all depedency. Attached is

the the screen message:

 

Any Ideas. Ii islooking for a mscorlib.dll file under /usr/lib/mono/1.0 but I don't have that folder!!

Hi Dr. Shah:

 

where did you get that OpenVistaCIS.exe from? Please unzip the 'OpenVista CIS Binaries' in an isolated folder so that nothing gets on the way.

 

Can you run it again with the following command line and attach strace-log-file here?  strace mono OpenVistaCIS.exe &> strace-log-file

 

And also try running it like this:  MONO_LOG_LEVEL="debug" mono OpenVistaCIS.exe &> mono-log-file

 

and attach mono-log-file here as well.

 

How did you install Mono? From the logs you posted nothing got installed in that run.

where did you get that OpenVistaCIS.exe from?

 

          I downloaded from Medsphere web site. I have try both files: openvistacis-0.9.96-client.zip and openvistacis-0.9.95-client.zip. Then i have unzip file and save it on desktop.

Hi:


Sorry for not being clear, please run such commands in the folder where you unzipped the openvistacis-0.9.96-client.zip file (the folder where the OpenVistaCIS.exe, and the other dlls are).

 

Do that and please attach the files here again. Thanks!
