How do we find out what packages or builds are alreay installed in the server?
If something is not installed already (e.g. PCE), how can we find out the dependencies etc, before we begin?

From EVE, go to Programmer Options => KIDS => Utilities => Install File Print.

I'm not sure that there's an automated way to do that. You'd have to read the release notes on the individual builds.
Thnaks,
I checked for PCE in my case. This option tells me that PCE is installed, but:
1. when I use encounter form no visit type is available to be selected.
2. Un der reports, when i select Oupatient encounter, it tells me the following:
Permanently disabled
Patient Care Encounter Package not yet installed
FYI, I am using open vista server with TMG CPRS client. Could that be an issue?
I really appreciate your 10 minute
installation video.
What client do you recommend with open vista server to take advantage of all these features in open vista? CIS or CPRS? I know CPRS does not support patient pics. Is there anything else that we would miss if we use Openn Vista server + TMG CPRS vs. Openvista server + CIS?
I think the client you choose depends on your needs. TMG CPRS has some features that aren't supported by CIS. For example, I think there are some GUI configuration options and patient registration functionality that it provides. While I don't have a full list of CIS features above CPRS handy, off the top of my head I can think of integrated pediatric growth charts and integrated spell checking (besides the document imaging functionality).

Indra,
Nothing prevents you from running both CPRS and CIS against your server.
Some users may need the special features of TMG-CPRS while others won't need them.
On the other hand, in addition to the imaging features, CIS can run on a Linux client and CPRS is dependent on Windows.
(That said, CPRS runs well in a VirtualBox, VMWare or qemu XP client... your choice.)
